For the past few years, I've had the privilege to do something I only dreamed of. Since receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts, I've kept my passion alive in many ways... some conventional, some not. However, no matter what career path I was on, my goals were to bring creativity to daily life. From simple aspects like eye-pleasing graphics to always being on the hunt to curate group exhibits. I value meetings of creative minds and believe it is essential to my growth as an artist and a professional. Professionally, I've begun working with an innovative custom framing team in Rhode Island. There, I've had the opportunity to revive my treasured collections of works on paper, immerse myself in the ever-evolving world of interior design, and bring joy to people's homes.
I attended college at St Cloud State University in Minnesota where I was president of the Art Student Union. It was there I found my passion for curating exhibits and I had the honor to write and receive a grant to fund one of the only undergraduate student-run galleries at the time. After graduation, I moved to the Oregon Coast where I managed seven glass art galleries around the state. Exposure to a whole new field of production and material was exciting and we hosted artists from around the globe. That experience gave me the chance to open my own art studio. Curating exhibits in Pacific City was one of the best times of my life. There is nothing more inspiring than helping others see art in a way that they've never done before. My move from Oregon to Rhode Island in 2019 was soul-shaking and serendipitous. I find inspiration for my art in transformation and here is where I found my balance.
