teresa kalnoskas
artist statement
I work in an abstracted still-life genre. The images are meditative investigations of forms in which I strive to define the universal through the particular. Interpretations of the object’s essence in the current environment render a moment in time of this journey. Processes of layering, glazing, and drawing onto the surface are conduits to realize our shared natures of loss, celebration, and beauty.
